Hi Jerry,

China is indeed a place with many opportunities for designers, because it is a large and growing market with a huge variety of consumer groups.
For many western people it might be difficult to get used to the Chinese culture, so you definitely need to be tolerant and adaptable if you want to live here in the long term.
I believe that Shanghai attracts the most foreigners, because of its international charm comparing to many other large Chines cities, including Beijing.

Cheers,

Waikit

Hello Waikit!
I see that you are doing a great work in china...it's neat to hear about your experiences there! I have always wanted to go to china and many other parts of the world, but I have not gotten the chance yet!

I did have a quick question: Why are there so many people moving to china? Is there a lot of job opportunities there? It came clear to my mind why you are there...but I was just wondering about the general over-all well fare of the country. It doesn't seem like a place where a lot of people would want to move to. I can understand going there to visit...but moving there is a different story.

I am really interested in hearing about this! Thanks a lot!
